Search and Viewing Clients

TCI for SharePoint merges the content integration capabilities of Total Content Integrator with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007 to deliver a best-in-class solution for managing and sharing content, enforcing records retention policies and improving business processes across the organization.

SharePoint provides the enterprise with a single user interface for collaboration, document management, and sharing of information through portals.  Teams work together during the document life cycle process utilizing the access controls, versioning, locking and workflow capabilities of SharePoint to deliver reviewed and approved content to enterprise portals and corporate intranets.

Access all corporate information from the SharePoint user interface

TCI for SharePoint addresses the need for the enterprise to access all corporate information from the SharePoint user interface. Now users of SharePoint have access to content stored in multiple, disparate repositories, databases, ERP and legacy applications, regardless of format or location. External information may be automatically delivered to SharePoint using predefined or dynamic lists.  Users will never have to log on to multiple systems to get the information they need.  They can leverage the familiar SharePoint user interface to access all mission- and operations-critical data, both internal and external to SharePoint.

In addition to the ability to list and present any content or format within SharePoint pages, users have the ability to use the SharePoint simple search and Search Center to search not only SharePoint content, but any content stored in external repositories.  These two capabilities add value to SharePoint pages, applications and portals by extending the reach of SharePoint to formats, applications, and repositories that until now were not accessible to SharePoint users

Provide long-term retention for SharePoint documents

TCI for SharePoint enables protecting critical corporate information assets by migrating final-form, static documents to several external repositories, including ViewDirect, the world's leading repository and "archive of record" for long-term retention. SharePoint documents can be archived to the ViewDirect repository, along with all other enterprise content, either by manual user action or by automatic migration. The ViewDirect repository functions as both a long-term archiving server for regulatory compliance, supporting read-only storage, and a real-time engine for Web delivery of information.  By archiving SharePoint documents to ViewDirect or other TCI configured repositories, you can create infinite scalability while lowering storage, operational, and database maintenance costs.

Enable Records Management on SharePoint Documents

TCI for SharePoint is integrated with ViewDirect Records Manager for managing enterprise-wide corporate records from capture to processing, archiving, retention, holding and final disposition   It enables organizations to gain custody of their corporate records, including Microsoft SharePoint documents, while eliminating the manual maintenance tasks required by other records management solutions. ViewDirect Records Manager reduces legal risks and costs by enabling more efficient discovery, by eliminating improper and premature record destruction, and by cost-effectively preserving evidentiary data.
