ABS for Spreadsheet Compliance reduces the risk of errors and restores confidence in your financial reporting by ensuring that spreadsheets are used correctly and managed responsibly. It centralizes and manages the lifecycle of enterprise spreadsheets, including versioning, security and audit trail. And it provides a solid platform to reduce costs, improve productivity and ease the burden of compliance.

Unprecedented Control

How can you manage spreadsheets effectively? How can you guarantee the accuracy of your data and ultimately the security, quality and validity of your financial reports? Spreadsheets do come equipped with many useful features that can improve control and accuracy but how do you guarantee their effective usage? Many users will knowingly or unknowingly fail to adequately protect the integrity of the data in spreadsheets. To ensure that your data stands up to scrutiny, you must establish controls that trace an unbroken path from published financial results back to all levels of contributing reports and calculations ABS for Spreadsheet Compliance accomplishes this goal without changing the way people work: users continue to update their spreadsheets using the standard Microsoft Excel interface. ABS for Spreadsheet Compliance allows you to:

·       Control spreadsheets by importing and maintaining them, so the authoritative version of a given spreadsheet is always in a centralized location

·       Secure spreadsheets by limiting access to spreadsheet owners and authorized reviewers

·       Track review and approval by multiple reviewers; providing a management framework for the proper workflow of enterprise financial spreadsheets

·       Maintain an audit trail of all changes made to all spreadsheet versions

ABS for Spreadsheet Compliance provides a complete review and approval process in which multiple people can review a spreadsheet, but only one person can approve or reject it.  Individuals, or groups if desired, are assigned as reviewers or approvers. When the first reviewer completes the review, the status is changed form "pending" to "reviewed." Additional users can review the document until the designated approver marks it "approved" or "rejected".  The complete review history is stored in the log for the spreadsheet along with the audit trail of every change.
